Nick Shearer, Creative Principal
Nick is a Creative Principal with Infinia Branding, specializing in copywriting, concepting, strategy and soccer trivia.
A native of Edinburgh, he graduated MA Hons in EngLit from its University, and was destined for a lifetime of tabloid puns at local newspapers until the intervention of a close friend at McCann Erickson.
Here, he worked on accounts such as Texaco, Citroën, Georgia-Pacific, British Telecom and the Scottish Health Education Group, responsible for one of Europe's first AIDS awareness campaigns. Poached and shipped to New York on the cusp of the 90s by McDermott Kilsby, he was cruelly exposed to the world of PR, enduring the likes of Cahners Publishing, Citicorp, Australian Lamb and The National Concrete Masonry Association.
Escape awaited at the De Plano Group, where he was Co- Creative Director for over a decade, contributing to breakthrough brand marketing communications programs for a mix of luxury and corporate clients: Bvlgari, Vespa, Mikimoto, Hyperion Software, Posadas/Fiesta Americana, Arm & Hammer, Finmeccanica, Partida Tequila and Krug Champagne.
He has also freelanced as a Writer/Creative Consultant for Enterprise IG, Sterling Group, The Brooklyn Brothers, Graham Clifford Design and BCA Advertising.
Recent project involvement at Infinia includes Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, Newbury Partners, McKinsey and Fross Zelnick.
