Kay Moffett, Consultant, Strategy

Kay Moffett is a Consultant, Strategy with Infinia Branding, responsible for authoring and implementing client brand strategy through internal and external expressions.

Before joining Infinia, Kay spent six years at Genentech, the second largest biotechnology company in the world, as Senior Manager, Corporate Brand and Publications. Her responsibilities included developing and launching the company's first corporate brand strategy and guidelines; serving as editor-in-chief for the company's various publications (e.g. annual report, corporate brochure, corporate website); leading the company's advertising efforts; drafting communications for the CEO and other executives; and generally overseeing the company's verbal and visual expressions across various media. Prior to Genentech, Kay spent two years helping to launch a new consumer brand and managing marketing communications for a start-up company called PeoplePC.

Kay began her career in the first group of Teach for America corps members as a high school teacher in the New York City public schools, where she spent four years teaching English and helping to start a charter school.

Kay holds a doctorate from Stanford University in Educational Policy and Organization Studies as well as a master's degree in Language, Literacy and Culture from the University of California, Berkeley School of Education. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in English and American Literature from Harvard University.

Kay is the co-author of the book Not Your Mother's Divorce (Broadway Books, December 2003).
